Malgudi Kavitha

Chef Malgudi Kavitha was born on 27 December 1975 in Virddachalam, Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu. She comes from a family of ten children, including three younger sisters, three younger brothers, three older brothers, and herself. Her father was a lawyer at the Tamil Nadu High Court and former Chairman of the Kammapuram Panchayat Union Council. Malgudi Kavitha completed her schooling at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Vriddhachalam, and secured an associate degree in Hotel Management from MMD College, Tamil Nadu University, Chennai. She started working as an intern at Hotel Mowbrays Inn for one and a half years, then she worked at Apollo Sindoori Hotels for two years. Afterward, she moved to the Ambica Empire in Vadaplani. Chef Kavitha joined Savera in 2006 and worked there for seven years and ten months. After that, she worked as Executive Head at AAA VENTURE LLC DBA in Sterling, Virginia for 4 months. Malgudi Kavitha is prominently known for creating two Lima books of records. Her first record was a solo marathon from 31st October 2012 to 1st November 2012. She made 1550 dishes in 35 hours and 20 minutes.

Her second attempt was with 1000 home cooks during the event of Unavodu Vilayadu, which continued for 9 hours and 16 mins on 4th May 2014 at YMCA Ground, Royapettah, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Five hundred vegetarian and five hundred non-vegetarian dishes were cooked, weighing around 999kg 257 grams. She also cheered up Chef Damodharan during his Guinness world record. With years of culinary experience, Malgudi Kavitha runs her own YouTube channel, Food Tasty. She is the Founder Cum R & D CHEF (The Culinary Research & Development Chef) and is dedicated to her work at Keeyas Kitchen. Malgudi Kavitha is a member of SICA (South Indian Culinary Association) and has hosted more than 800 episodes in media, including the show “Ungal Kitchen Engal Chef” which became her motivation later. Her vision and desire is to popularise South Indian recipes worldwide and stand out as an inspiration in the food industry.
