He was born on June 19, 1964, in Ooty, Tamil Nadu [India]. His parents were Muthukrishnan and S. Dhanalakshmi. Uday Prakash was an Indian actor who starred in Tamil and Telugu films. He was a football player (team captain) at Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur. His best works include 'Mannan', 'Mr. Romeo', 'Band Master 'Pudhayal' etc. Uday Prakash became famous as he played a significant role in the Telugu blockbuster Karthavyam, starring Vijay Shanthi.
The film gave him a boost in Tamil when it was dubbed Vyjayanthi IPS. Soon, he was cast as one of the three brothers of Khushbu in Chinna Thambi, which also became a blockbuster. However, he got addicted to heavy drinking, which affected his career as well. He lost many opportunities and was mounted with debts, prompting him to leave Chennai. He was later spotted in a small hut, and Nadigar Sangham took the responsibility to rehabilitate him.
Actor Sarath Kumar later gave him a role in his film 'Diwani In 2003 and was later seen in a couple of Tamil movies. But he once again got lost in heavy drinking.
