M Sukumaran is an Indian writer who worked for the Malayalam film industry. He is well-known for his novels and short stories. Some of his famous novels and short stories are Janithakam, Seshakriya, ChuvannaChihnangal, and Marichittillathavarude Smarakangal. He also wrote a biographical book Swadeshabhimani, Kelappan, and AbdurRahiman.
For his best story, he received various awards like Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1976 and Sahitya Academi Award in 2006. As a story and screenplay writer, he also contributed to many South Indian movies like Sanghaganam in 1979, Kazhakamin 1996, Margam in 2003, and Sheshakriya in 1982.
