Mathews Thomas Pulickan

Mathews Thomas Pulickan is a music composer, producer, and managing director based in Nairobi, Kenya. He was born and brought up in Ernakulam, Kerala. He studied BBA and LLB in Law at Christ University, Bangalore, Karnataka. He predominantly works as a producer and music composer in the Malayalam film industry. In 2016, Mathews founded Cinema Cooks production house which has produced various Malayalam movies, TV series, commercials, etc.

He made his debut in the Malayalam film industry as a music composer in 2016 with the film 2 Penkuttikal, directed by Jeo Baby Jeo Baby is an upcoming Indian director known for >> Read More... . The film was about two girls, Achu and Anagha who discuss the problems which they have to face as women in Indian society. From a feminist perspective, the film tries to cover the issues and restrictions imposed on all women around the globe. The film was nominated for Hamburg Film Festival in 2016. Thereafter, Mathews worked in a number of Malayalam films, such as The Little God, Vali-The Fart, The Great Indian Kitchen, Agan Pankhudi, Freedom Fight, and Sree Dhanya Catering Service. 

In February 2020, Mathews founded Matshepo Africa Limited which is an advertising agency based in Kenya. The company collaborates with various international brands like Hero MotoCorp, New Holland, Umoja Rubbers, Guinness - Diageo, JK Whitemaxx, FieldKing, CMC Motors Group, Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, etc on various marketing/production-related activities. It is the only official film production vendor for the biggest agency group, The WPP Group in the entire sub-Saharan Africa. The company is also an official vendor for Hero MotoCorp in the East African region.

Since September 2022, he has been working as the Managing Director at Matshepo Industries Limited which is a manufacturer of Construction Chemicals with a head office based in Nairobi, Kenya. The company ventures into the manufacturing of tile adhesives (Simba grip 555 and Simba grip 777), grout (Tile Lit), and waterproofing (Ultra Guard). The company now supplies more than twenty-five projects and is adding more within Kenya. It is looking forward to accelerating its growth through expansion across East Africa. Moreover, he is highly skilled in TV production, Strategy Management, Executive Production, Communication, Presentation, Process Improvement, New Business Development, Sales, etc.
