T N Krishnan is an Indian musician who worked for the Malayalam film industry. He was born on 6th October 1928 in Tripunithura, Cochin. Krishnan was one of the members of the violin-trinity of Carnatic music along with Jayaraman and Gopalakrishnan. In 1939 when he was 11 years old, he performed his first violin in Trivandrum. He was getting placed in the care of R. Aiyadurai, who was an industrialist and patron of Carnatic music from his tutor Srinivasa when he first reached Madras in 1942.
Once The Hindu said that he was one of the few instrumentalists who provide a nostalgic experience in the mind of his listeners. They said this by reviewing one of the famous performances in 2004. He travels all around the globe for his music tour and was a regular performer in the annual Margazhi music season in the Madras Music Academy.
At Chennai Music College, he was the professor of Music and later became the principal of the college. Some of his work includes as a dean of the School of Music and Fine Arts at the University of Delhi and as the vice-chairman of Sangeet Natak Academy between 1991 to 1993.
