S.P. Venkatesh is popular in the Malayalam film industry as a music director and a composer. He was considered to be one of the best music directors in the early and mid-90’s. He composed music for various blockbuster hits of Mohanlal’s movies. The well-known music director has his roots in Kochi, Kerala. His father, Pazhani is a skilled mandolin player. As a young boy, he was interested in playing Guitar, Banjo, and Mandolin.

Acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and violin orchestra are used extensively in his song compositions. He was successful in providing a unique identity to all his creations.
