Indu Thampi

There are very few people who can make a smooth transition from modeling to the big screen. Indu Thampi is one such person. She is an actress from Malayalam. Indu has done her masters in English literature. All Saints' College, Trivandrum, is her alma mater. Besides acting, she is fond of dancing, writing, singing, and painting. In fact, Indu has taken formal training in classical dance form. While studying in school and college, Indu had won several dance and singing competitions. She is also hoping for a singing opportunity to come her way. After entering the showbiz, Indu has become passionate about fitness as well and maintains a diet as well as goes to the gym regularly. Indu's career took off when she won the Miss Kerala contest in the year of 2010. Besides the main title, she also bagged the designation of Miss Beautiful Eyes, Miss Sensuality, and Miss Radiant.

Its venue was Meridian International Convention Centre, Kochi. Indu had entered the contest on a whiff and was surprised when she managed to win it. After winning the pageant, she started receiving film offers. Indu signed Anabella first and then Father's Day. The scriptwriter of Anabella is Indu's brother Suresh Nair. However, in spite of shooting for Anabella first, Kalavoor Ravikumar directorial Father's Day released in the theatres first. However, the movie couldn't fare too well at the box-office. Though the motion picture didn't manage to help her career too much, Indu got the opportunity to work with seniors like Revathy, Idavela Babu Ammanath Babu Chandran is popularly known as Idave >> Read More... , and others. Besides Father's Day and Anabella, Indu has worked in various serials and movies like K.K Rajeev's Oru Penninte Katha, Nizhal, and others.

She has mostly played chirpy, modern, and happy characters. Indu is Diabetes I patient and as a child had to take insulin shots two times in a day. However, her parents supported her throughout her battle and even encouraged her to take up sports. After becoming successful, she started using an insulin pump. As a result, Indu makes it a point to create awareness about Diabetes among her fans and shares her experience to eradicate myths attached to it. Indu got married to Major Kishore, an actor, in a lavish ceremony in Alakapuri Convention Centre Sasthamangalam, Thiruvananthapuram. Their first encounter happened on Anabella's set and fell in love with each other. The couple only invited their close family and friends for the occasion. Her sister Reshmi Thampi is also trying her luck in movies.
