Adoor Pankajam was an Indian actress. She worked in Malayalam films. She was born in Adoor, Kerala. Her parents were Kunjuraman Pillai and Kunjukunjamma. She was popular for her role of Nalla Kunjuraman Pillai and Kunjoonjamma. She was popular for her role of Nalla Pennu in Chemmeen by
Ramu Kariat. Chemmeen was released in 1965 and became a National-award winning film. She did various supporting roles and comic roles.
Pankajam started her career with theatre. Her first stage play was Madhu Madhuryam by Kalanilayam theatres. She made her debut in films with Premalekhanam. She worked in more than 400 films in her entire lifetime.
Adoor Pankajam’s last movie was Kunjikoonan in 2002.
Adoor Bhavani, her sister, worked in Malayalam industry as well. Both the sisters started a theatre group named Adoor Jaya Theaters. Bhavani left the group later whereas Pankajam continued to be a part of the theatre.
