Sudheesh Maruthalam is a Malayalam playback singer, lyricist, and music director. He was born on 16th October 1989 in Kasaragod district, Kerala. He has completed a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Social Work as his postgraduate degree in Kalady, Kerala. He started his music career when he was studying 8th grade. He gained experience by writing lyrics for folk songs, engaging with cultural events, and supporting dramas, which helped Sudheesh Maruthalam in his future career. Then he continued writing poems and scripts. In 2007, his stage performance in the Chilamboli Nadan Kalasangam folk song cultural events paved the path to becoming a folk artist and shaping his future folk song career. Ajagajantharam was his first movie, and he worked with three songs. The songs he made in the Ajagajantharam movie became a strong foundation for the film’s music. Sudheesh Maruthalam’s profession is not only with music, but he also engages with welfare programs like the Kudumbashree Mission, a government poverty eradication and women empowerment program, and he also made songs for them. Involvement in educational and welfare activities is one of his important occupations.
