MG Radhakrishnan is a journalist from Thiruvananthapuram. MG Radhakrishnan, popularly known as MGR, is a known personality in Kerala and the son of Communist ideologue P Govinda Pillai. He was earlier appointed editor at Asianet News channel, based in Thiruvananthapuram, in 2014. He is an author, too, and has published at least four books. He has also worked with India Today and Mathrubhumi.
On 5 January 2023, Senior journalist MG Radhakrishnan left Asianet News. He was earlier the editor of Asianet News Channel and held the designation of editorial advisor for the last one and a half years. MG Radhakrishnan informed that his contract for the position was ending, and he was not interested in renewing it.
MG Radhakrishnan also held the designation of managing editor at Asianet News Group, and after resigning from the position, he was hired as an editorial consultant by the channel authorities.
He has over 32 years of experience in journalism and has been an associate editor for the Newspaper company India Today. He also spent a long stint at Mathrubhumi newspaper. MG Radhakrishnan is also a famous face in visual media and has made his presence known on various regional and national television channels. He specializes in subjects like Politics, Economics, Sports and Culture. By 2014, he had authored two books - Damshtrayum Nettikkannum Theliyumpol and Bhayam Premam Sangeetham.
