Sajan K Mathew

Sajan K Mathew is an Indian director who works primarily in the Malayalam film industry. He began his career as an assistant director and has made four films till today. Sajan was born on 12th March 1981 in pathanapuram in Kerala but currently resides in Kochi.

He was born to lellamma mithai and KK Mithai. Sajan studied in St. Stephen's high school in pathanapuram and did his graduation in law from Kerala law academy in Thiruvananthapuram. Following it, he did post graduation from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, the United Kingdom in business administration.

Later he again did masters in arts from sacred heart college in television and cinema in therava, Kochi. Soon he began focusing on direction professionally. Later he married his class friend Hema R and is the father of two children named jayanth and sidhanth.

Sajan began his career as a lawyer and worked in a district court of Trivandrum from December 2004 to August 2005. Next, he quit the job and began pursuing filmmaking as his career. He debuted as a director with deepu Karunakaran in various documentaries, advertisements, and corporate films.

He also assisted director's in their feature films. Sajan's first feature was God's own country which released on 9th may 2014. Directed by Vasudevan sanal the plot is a combination of three different stories. His another feature also released in the same year titled tammar padaar of dileesh nair.

Released on 3rd October the is a comical satire on how a policeman arrests two circus performers as terrorists and realizes his mistake when they are sentenced to death. Sajan debuted as a director in 2016 with the film oru Murai vanthu parthaya.

Released on 27th may the movie is a romantic horror which revolves around a spirit which enters in a youngster's life to avenge her death. The film received average reviews. His second film 21st baker street will hit the cinemas on 6th of November this year and is a comedy.

He works as a creative director of adrenaline production house since 12th October 2006 in Ernakulam. Apart from pictures, the ad films he has directed are for Muthoot group, Kerala state electricity board, Neyveli lignite corporation, emerging Kerala, Kerala state industrial development corporation, funskool, etc. At present, he is working on his project 21st baker street.
