Kannan Perumudiyoor is an Indian Director, Writer, and producer who predominantly works in the Malayalam film industry. He was born on 11 March 1962 and raised in the small town of Thrissur in Kerala. Kannan Perumudiyoor completed his schooling at the Government Oriental Higher Secondary School in Pattambi. After that, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Sree Neelakanta Govt. Sanskrit College under the University of Calicut. On 25 November 1990, he married Ajitha Menon.
Kannan Perumudiyoor has been involved in the film industry since 1996, when he worked as a producer on the set of Kamal’s ‘Ee Puzhayum Kadannu’. After that, he went on to be a part of the films, ‘Nakshathrathaaraattu’ (1998) and ‘Jungle.com’ (2018). Kannan Perumudiyoor’s directorial debut came in 2013 when he released the film- ‘Aattakatha: The Final Rehearsal’. The film is a romantic musical based on his own novel ‘Cholliyattam’. Kannan Perumudiyoor has managed to carve out a name for himself in Malayalam cinema due to years of hard work and perseverance.
