KR Praveen is a talented director, creative consultant, entrepreneur, and screenwriter from the Malayalam film industry. His birthplace is Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram district. He was born into a family of Thimala artists. His father is Parassala Kesavan, an artist in Devaswom on the post of Panchavadya. Praveen has also learned Thimala from his father and performed at the temples as a mela artist. He used to watch and listen to film stories from his father. His wife is Revathi. His daughters are Swaramedha and Jaya Medha. He worked as an associate producer in the Film and Television industry from 2007 to 2015.
He has been working as an Event Manager in Event Management Services since 2007, Creative Director in the Ad Film industry since 2009, Managing Director in Regale Concepts and Innovations Pvt. Ltd. since 2017, and Chief Operating Officer in Kokers Entertainments since 2022. He is a Founder, Director, and Chief Operating Officer at Cinizen in Kochi, Kerala. He directed and wrote the movie Kuri, released in 2022, Thami, released in 2023, and many more. His upcoming movie as a producer is Marivillin Gopurangal.
