Jayaraj Vijay is a Malayalam director. He was born on 31 May 1960 in Ernakulum, Kerala. Vijay started his career as a scriptwriter for the unreleased movie Priyam Priyankaram. He also played the role of assistant director for the same. Vijay also wrote the popular television show, Detective Anand. Oppol, Sasneham, Indira, Kaanakkinavu mIndra neelum, Pokkuveyil are some of the serials he wrote. In 2016, Vijay won Best Screenplay Kerala State Award for Pokkuveyil.
Jayaraj Vijay made his debut as a director in 2009 with the movie Shudharil Shudham. He also directed movies Money Bank Policy and Vishawasam… Athallae Ellam. Before films, he directed advertisements and programs for television channels. He directed the serial AvarilOraal. Adding to the many roles he plays, Jayaraj Vijay acted in the Tamil thriller Mooch.
