Crossbelt Mani was born in Thiruvananthapuram on 22nd April, 1935. He is a very popular Malayalam Director and Cinematographer. He started his career in the year 1968. He has done more than 40 movies up till now. He is the director of 40 and he has worked as a Cinematographer in 10 movies.

He did a movie named Crossbelt which was his second movie. Crossbelt was a very amazing movie and this movie made him very popular; the audience started recognizing him with this movie. Therefore, he adopted Crossbelt as his name. His original name is Velayudhan Nair which he later changed to Crossbelt Mani. His wife’s name is Iranayil Bhagavathimandirathu Srimathivamma and his parent’s name is Kamalmma and Krishna Pilla. In the year 1968, he did his very first movie named Midumidduki which was an excellent movie by him. Then in the year 1970 he did his second movie named Crossbelt which was an amazing movie and made him very popular. After that in the year 1972, he did four movies named Manushyabandhangal, Naadan Premam, Shakthi and Puthrakameshti; all these movies had a unique concept and he made them wonderful.

Crossbelt Mani directs the movies amazingly and puts all these efforts to make the movie a successful one. In the year 1973, he did only one movie named Kaapaalika which was an amazing movie and the entire team made a lot of efforts to make the movie what it is. In the year 1974 he did the movie Nadeenadanmaare and the audience liked this movie very much. In the year 1975 he did back to back a lot of movies named Velicham Akale, Penpada, Thaamarathoni and Kuttichaathan. All these movies hit the screens, earned a lot and made Mani more famous. In the year 1976, he did the movies Yudhabhoomi and Chottaanikara Amma; these movies also had a different concept and people liked these films very much. In the year 1977, he did Neethipeedham. Pattaalam Janaki and Penpuli.

After that also he did a lot of movies which were also very popular; he did movies like Ottayaan in the year 1985, Devdas in the year 1989, Commander in the year 1990 and much more. He also worked as a cinematographer in many of the Malayalam movies. There are many movies in which he is the director and the cinematographer as well. In the year 1984, he did the movie Bullet as a cinematographer and he shot the movie in a wonderful manner. In the year 1985, he did the movie Chorakku Chora, Black Mail, and much more. In the movies Commander and Ottayam he worked as both a Director and as a Cinematographer. Crossbelt is a very talented person as he knew both direction and cinematography.

Sanjay Padiyoor is an actor, director, and production controller. Sanjay’s other name is Sanjay Shanmughan. He was born on 19th April, 1973 in Padiyoor, Irinjalakuda, Thrissur located in Kerala, India. He went to Don Bosco European Primary School in Padiyoor, St. Sebastian Anglo Indian UP School in Padiyoor and BVM High School in Kaiparamba. Sanjay pursued his graduation degree from NSS Arts College in Irinjalakuda. He began his career in Jubilee production in 1991. He used to work as an office worker. Later, he became a production controller. He has worked as a production controller in more than 100 Malayalam and Tamil movies. Sanjay made his debut as a director with the Malayalam movie named “Aval-Journey of a woman” which was produced by Sadanandan Rangorath under the production house Lucsam Creations. Sanjay’s first movie was City Police directed by Venu B Nair in the year 1992, and he worked as production manager, and from here his career began, and he succeeded in doing around 100 movies in the Malayalam and Tamil film industry. The movie named Captain was his first movie as a production controller, directed by Nizar. He also made his debut in acting line in the movie Captain. He did several movies as a production controller and movies like Banaras, directed by Nemam Pushparaj, won many awards, and also won a national award for the songs sung by Shreya Ghoshal in the movie. He also worked in popular movies like Bhoothakkannadi, Marumalarchi, Aadum Koothu, Gadhama, Salt N' Pepper, and Celluloid. He is known for his work in the movie Roudram (2008). The movie has been directed by Renji Panicker, and the lead actor is Mammootty. The story revolves around the life of a police officer who investigates the case of a drug dealer and has a lot of pressure from the higher authorities and also deals with the corruption in his office. He has also been a part of a popular movie named Malabar Wedding (2008) directed by Faisal and Rajesh and starring Indrajith ukuraman and Suraaj Venjaramoodu. He also worked in a very popular movie titled Dooram (2016) directed by Manu Kannamthanam and starring Maqbool Salman, Shine Tom Chacko, and Aima Sebastian. The film starts with a flight journey from Bangkok to Kerala where a protagonist named Dennis meets Riti. Riti makes him remember his past love life and memories of his lost love. Sanjay is a very hard working man and dedicated to his work.

A great producer and film director of the Malayalam cinema industry. Born and brought up in Kozhikode, Kerala in 1966. Shajoon father sent him to Govt. Ganapath High School, Chalappuram to gain his primary education. From the age just 18, shajoon knew what he wants to achieve and what are his aspirations. Started working as an assistant director under the supervision of legendary director Irruppam Veedu Sasidaran, better known as I. V. Sasi, mentored him in a series of movies. Kariyal learned all the direction basics from Sasi and was associated with many huge multi starrer films. In the era where most director portrays mass masala and larger-than-life heroes and sometimes sexist stories, shajoon had the guts to direct an aesthetically well-made film, with outstanding music that remain in your heart, even after you leave the hall. He always tried to depict the indianlism through his stories and directorship. In starting phases of his career, he started as a story or script writer and wrote very big hits including mammooty starrer Jackpot. When Kariyal reached the age of 30, he debuted Rajaputhran (1996), starring Suresh Gopi and Shobhana. This was his first chance to show his artistic skills in this huge budget movie with simultaneous release in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. Rajaputhran was a huge success. Kariyal celebrated his joy with more films under his direction.Thachiledathu Chundan (1999) became a big success for kariyal with the critically acclaimed Vadakkumnadhan (2006). Vadakkumnadhan was the best work of Shajoon until present as the film won many awards in the industry and became the success spot of kariyal. After directing many films with five other partners kariyal launched a production house ‘Thakkali Films’ with Cinematographer P Sukumar, actors Biju Menon and Suresh Krishna and scriptwriter Sachi. The first film under the record name was titled Chettayees which was a big success under the direction Shajoon Karyal and scripted by Sachi. There were many ups and down in the direction life of kariyal when he had to reject some offers but he never gave up his will and passion for directing films. When talkies went the off air, the film Kariyal planned with Mohanlal as lead, that was the time when sachy discussed about the story of Chettayees to Kariyal and rest we all know, what chatteyees had done so far.
