Ashwin Prabhu belongs to Bangalore. His parents are Mr.Mohandas Prabhu and Mrs.Jyothi Prabhu. He also has a brother Sandeep Prabhu. He studied PCMB at Sadvidya Composite College and remained a topper throughout. He had done his graduation from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore. He worked in a reputed company as a software engineer. He always had music as his passion and started to learn music from his guru S. Ratna. Also he got highly trained in classical and karnataka music under R.S.Nandakumar.
As mentioned by him in an interview that music helps him to express his emotions when words can’t. Also, he can sing in 5 different languages. He first participated in “Star singer” and became famous as the winner of this singing show. Also, he participated in the singing show “Rising star season 2” on colors TV as a contestant. He is a big fan of Mohd. Rafi.
