Silk Manju or B.G. Manjunath is a famous producer in the Sandalwood film industry. He is widely known for working as a producer in some Kannada films like A: Film By Upendra (1998), and Prathyartha (1999). Over the years, Silk Manju has produced various films like Agrahara (2007), Aarbhata (2010), and Suryakanthi (2010), and has produced more than fifty films. His 1998 film, A, starring Upendra and Chandini, became a huge hit and was remade in Tamil as the 2007 film, Adavadi.
After the film’s success, Upendra got the Udaya Film Award for Best Actor in 1998 and made Silk Manju one of the popular producers in the Sandalwood film industry. In 2017, he decided to produce another film, with Upendra as the lead actor. By doing this, Silk Manju has become the only producer who has produced his first and 50th film for the same hero.
