Priyadarshini is also known as PriyadarshiniRam. She is a Singaporean-Indian playback singer, researcher, author, managing director, and performing artist in the South Indian film industry. Her father, Ramchandran B, is a chemical engineer and former director at a Spanish engineering company Tecnicas Reunidas. Her mother, Sumathi Ram, worked at Secretariat, the government of Tamil Nadu. Priyadarshini completed her schooling at Northland Primary School and Yishun Secondary School, Singapore. She went to “Nanyang Technological University, Singapore” to pursue her Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical and Electronics. She completed her post-graduation in Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences at the University of Madras. She also studied western music at ABRSM – The Royal Music Schools, London. Later, she took a master’s degree in music at the University of Madras. Also, she studied Doctor of Philosophy in film music at the University of Mysore.

Priyadarshini started her career as a playback singer in 2003. She recorded her debut film song titled “Kadhal Kadhal” with the legendary singer Hariharan for the Tamil film “Kadhal Dot Com” under the music director Bharathwaj, released in 2004. Later, she sang a duet song titled “Snehada Chiguru” with S. P. Balasubrahmanyam for the Kannada film “ Rocky Click to look into! >> Read More... .” She has sung many hit & blockbuster movie songs in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and other languages for famous music composers such as Hamsalekha, Mano Murthy Mano Murthy was born in Bangalore in Karnataka, In >> Read More... , R. P. Patnaik, S. A. Rajkumar, Rajesh Ramnath. She has sung in more than 130 movies in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. However, she had her experience in private albums, live performances, jingles, television serials, corporate brand anthems, event title songs, devotionals, non-filmy, and web series in more than twelve Indian and foreign languages.

As a versatile singer, she is trained in Indian Classical Carnatic, Western and Hindustani Music with a magical and unique voice. She has published many research articles and papers in reputed journals. She is the first Indian playback singer who received a Ph.D. degree for her research in hundred years of film music with the most extended thesis of over 1000 pages. She has also penned lyrics for several devotional songs and private albums, including Unnai Naan from Priyamana Sai, Neeya Endrum from Devi Dayapari, etc. She has made special On-Screen appearances in short films, movies, and independent albums. She also engaged as a Music Educator and Music Entrepreneur. She received many awards, accolades, appreciations, honors from various organizations, NGOs, Government Departments worldwide.
