Bruce Lee Mani is an Indian musician, singer, music educator, songwriter, rock vocalist, and guitar player from Karnataka. He completed his school education at The Home School, Basavanagudi. After that, Bruce Lee Mani went to Christ College, Bangalore, to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Journalism, Psychology & English Literature. Then, he took M.S in Media & Communication at Bangalore University. His wife's name is Bindu. Bruce Lee Mani worked as a Lecturer in the Department of English at Christ University, Bangalore. He taught English for Pre-University and Bachelors' degree courses. Then, Bruce Lee Mani ran and managed A2G Music, i.e., Bangalore's first music store by musicians for musicians.
He has worked as an Independent Communications Consultant in Bangalore for almost six years. He was responsible for content development projects for companies like Microsoft, MindTree, i2 Technologies, Sasken, ICICI OneSource, indya.com, Citrix, etc. His assignments included website content, articles & white papers, advertising ideas & strategy, landing pages, etc. Later, he became a Head of Content at Regalix in Bangalore. His work involved understanding client requirements, ideation & creation of campaigns, interfacing with content creators, and maintaining the content channel's overall health – with bi-monthly reports, resource utilization, P&L management, etc.
He has been working as a Managing Director at Thermal And A Quarter Music Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore since 1996. He set up the company with Rajeev Rajagopal. Bruce Lee Mani oversaw day-to-day operations and administration with a small team and created a sustainable ecosystem for music and musicians. He also brought credibility to the mission of TMPL through award-winning and acclaimed music & performances around the world with Thermal And A Quarter. He has also raised funds and awareness towards several social causes through his band presentations. Also, he has been a director of the music school Taaqademy since April 2010. The school helps people to learn, create, and record music. He has 23 years of professional music experience, 20 years of external/internal communication experience, and ten years of business leadership/management experience.
Bruce Lee Mani has received the 'Outstanding Contribution to Indian Rock award' in 2007. Also, he was the two-time award winner of the Rolling Stone Magazine as 'Guitar Player of the Year' award in 2009 and 2012. Also, he was the recipient of the "Spirit of the Fringe" award – 2013 Edinburgh Fringe. His debut solo album is "We're All We've Got: Songs from a Pandemic," released on July 22. It is the album of 30 tracks, including Being Positive, The Kindness of Strangers, Engineered Inning, and What Bizarre Puppets.
