Sudha Rani is an Indian actress in Kannada movie industry. Sudharani was born to Nagalakshmi and Gopalakrishna. She started her modeling career in print ads at the age of 3.Her mother joined her in dance classes at age 5.Sudha Rani is a Bharata Natyam and Kuchipudi dancer. Sudha Rani has featured in several critically acclaimed films in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. Films like Anand, Panchama Veda, Mysooru Mallige, Anuraga Sangama, Mannina Doniand, Sparsha etc. are some of her memorable films. She has twice won the Filmfare Awards and Karnataka State Film Awards for her performances in Kannada film industry.

Sudha Rani began her film career as a child artist in the film Kiladi Kittu in 1978.In 1989 she has acted in her first film which is Tamil and after a gap of three years she has made her debut in the Tamil film “Vasanthakala Paravai" and that was declared a hit. Sudha Rani got married to Sanjay, an anesthesia specialist, in the year 1999 and settled in United States. She got divorced in 2000 and later settled in India. Later she married her relative, Goverdhan and has a daughter, Nidhi.
