Born on 29th July 1909, M. N. Chowdappa was an Indian journalist, broadcaster, and author. He was born in Karnataka state of India. He completed his education in Mysore. During his school days, he developed an interest in literature, theatre, and in radio under the influence of his guru N. Kasturi. M. N. Chowdappa started his career at the All India Radio station in Mysore. He later became associated with B. N. Gupta in editing and launching a weekly magazine called Prajamatha in the Kannada language. M. N. Chowdappa worked as an editor and published many magazines. He also authored a few books.
