Dr.Raghavendra is a Kannada film director. Born in the coastal district of Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka, he is a doctor of Neurology, and leads the department of Neurology at Father Muller Medical College and Hospital, Mangalore, Karnataka. He studied in Sawai Mansingh, Jaipur, and then later studied Pathology and Cardiorespiratory medicine at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. Apart from his passion as a doctor, Dr. Raghavendra enjoyed writing and used to be a movie fanatic. He has proved this by working as a writer, Lyricist and music composer for the romantic musical film Premam Poojyam. The movie was a great hit at the box office and received positive feedback from Indian media.
The movie has also received multiple awards on various platforms. Dr.Raghavendra was awarded the Vishwamanya Award from Dubai Karnataka Press Council for his contributions to Medicine and cinema. He was also awarded the Iconic Healthcare Award-Neurologist in 2022 by golden Aim awards. Apart from this, he was also awarded doctorate for film creativity as well as a global icon award in Bali, Indonesia by the king of Indonesia in January 2023.
