Deepak BC, popularly known as Junior Shankar Nag in Sandalwood, is an Indian film artist who has worked predominantly in the Kannada movie industry. He was born in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. In 2008, he entered R V College of Engineering and completed his bachelor’s degree in 2012 by scoring 5th rank. He is an M.Tech Gold medalist, specializing in "Structures" from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology in the 2012-2014 batch. He has a total work experience of 6 years, including five years of Industrial experience and one year of teaching as an Assistant Professor. Then, Deepak B. C worked in the Sandalwood entertainment industry, and his artwork started to release in Kannada language movies.

Deepak Bc is an Actor, Director, Producer, and Supporting Actor. In 2009, after Baa Bega Chandamama, in which he played a soft romantic role, bombed at the box office, the actor seemed decided on an image makeover.Deepak has finally realized he is more suitable for action roles than romantic ones. In 2011, when Deepak left for Bangkok with the film unit to shoot his Kannada film Magadi, he met with an accident. He was shooting for a song at Pattaya when the boat accident occurred, and the miraculous escape helped him survive the accident. His career got enlightened in 2020 through his Kannada film Nam Kathe Nim Jothe. He acted in this movie and also produced and directed that released on 13th March 2020.
