Mayuri Upadhya is an Indian dancer, choreographer, entrepreneur, and TV personality. She was born on 30 December 1979, Udupi, Karnataka, India. Her parents' names are Muralidhar Upadhya and Shamala Upadhya. She completed her studies at Sri Vani Education Centre and an MES College of Arts, Commerce & Science graduate. In 2000 she founded an organization named Nritarutya, which has become one of the foremost contemporary dance organizations in the country.
In 2019 she choreographed the musical Raunak and Jassi, directed by Feroze Abbas Khan. In 2017 Mayuri choreographed the musical Mughal-e-Azam. In 2017 she was invited by TED talk India. In 2016 Mayuri worked with Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra Productions for the movie Mirzya. In 2015 Mayuri won the Uday Shankar Award for choreography. In 2018 she won Broadway World Award for Best Choreographer for Mughal-e-Azam. In 2012, she won an International competition for choreography concepts, South Korea.
