Naveen Richard

Naveen Richard is an Indian Stand-up comedian, sketch artist, actor, YouTuber, and a web series writer. He was born on the 28th of August 1991. Naveen was born in Kochi and grew up in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Since a very young age, Naveen enjoyed taking part in silly pranks, making jokes, fooling around the house, and entertaining the people around him. When Naveen was in 11th standard he put up a comedy play on teachers' day, which turned out to be a great success and was much enjoyed by the crowd. He along, with his friends, performed this play in other schools as well. Naveen has a law degree from Christ University, Bangalore. When he was pursuing this degree, Naveen also did theatre arts as a pass time, and then went on to be a stand-up comedian. With ‘Evam Entertainment Company’, Naveen toured the country, where they performed ‘Five Point Someone’ of Chetan Bhagat, which was the first time he performed in front of a big audience.

Naveen has been part of multiple intriguing projects, some of which we write by himself. His scripts are based on habits of himself and the people around him. His well known sketch character ‘Uncle Francis’ and the ‘Malu landlady’ are fragments of fiction and facts he has experienced. He was one of the comedians in the comedy central's original show ‘The living room,’ which is India’s first English improve TV show . Naveen acted in ‘Go straight, take left’ a web series, which he wrote in collaboration with Sumukhi Suresh, which aired on Amazon Prime Video.
