Honey Irani is an actress and screen writer. She was born on 17th January 1950 in Mumbai and she belongs to an Irani, Zoroastrian family. They have two children a son Farhan and a daughter Zoya. They both are filmmakers. She began her career in Indian film industry as a child actress and accepted the character role in a film Chirag Kahaan Roshni Kahaan and another film Bombay Ka Chor. They have been working together in more than 72 films.

When she got divorce, she was doing embroidery on sarees to support her family. She was a good writer of stories. So, she used to write stories but she at no time shares them to anyone. After suffering from tough time she asked to select her stories for a TV serial but he selected her stories for the film. She also developed story idea for the film. In 1991 the film Lamhe was released, as this film did not get too much popularity but she got the film fare award for best story for the film.
