Chandrakanth Khot was a Marathi author, poet, and editor born in Bhimashankar on 7 September 1940. After finishing his Ph.D., he earned an M.A. With bold pronouncements such as 'Bindhasth,' and 'Vishayantar,' he created a stir in the world of Marathi literature. Kot's dream was crushed after he could not get the guidance for his Ph.D. He claimed to be married to Padma Chavan, a Marathi actress. However, they didn’t confirm it officially. His first book of poems, Martik was released in 1969. He then moved on to writing books. “Ubhayan vaiavyay”, a novel based on a controversial issue, was published in 1970 and became a literary sensation.
The two works, Bindhasth and Vishayantar, released two years later in 1974, were also about sex. In these pieces, he boldly depicted the working class's lives and the sexual intrusion that occurs there. His accounts indicate that he lived at the temple for the past five years. After 1995, he spent 10-15 years in exile before taking the form of Baba. He died at the age of 75 in Mumbai due to his advanced age in the moribund state.
