Vaishali Nazareth got into the television media industry through the serial “Bhagonwali – Baante Apni Taqdeer”, that was aired on Zee TV. After that, Vaishali got an offer to work in a serial that was telecasted by Sahara TV by the name “ Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga” in which she played as the second lady in the life of Pratap, which was played by Rakesh Paul. Vaishnavi Mahant is a prominent TV personality, who can currently be seen as Shail Garg (Rachna's mother), in the serial Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. She was born on 9 December 1972 in a Vaishnav family. Her father was a Hindu, and her mother was a Christian. She grew up as a Hindu but converted to Christianity in 1990. She is married to Leslie Macdonald and has a daughter whose name is Margret. Before entering into the television industry, she did a number of leading roles in Bollywood movies. Her debut movie was horror movie ‘Veerana’ of Ramsay Brothers, which released in 1988. Though she wanted to be a scientist, she chose to be as an actress after acting in ‘Veerana’. In 1994, she did a cameo in the movie Laadla and in 1996, she played a bar dancer in the movie Bambai Ka Babu. After Shaktiman, she appeared in ‘Saturday Suspense’ and ‘Awaaz Ki Duniya’. She also played as an inspector named Shivangi Chauhan, in Karmyudh on Doordarshan. She is known for playing Sharda role in TV serial Chhoti Maa - Ek Anokha Bandhan in the year 2001.
