Sona Mohapatra was born on 17th of June in 1976 at her hometown Cuttack, Odisha. She is one of the most renowned singer and composer in Indian film industry. She is a graduate and has done B.Tech from Bhubaneshwar. She has also done post-graduate and has MBA degree from Symbiosis Centre of Management & HRD, Pune. She worked as brand manager as well at Marico. After that, she started her career with jingle songs for TATA salt and Close-Up toothpaste. These jingles made her famous as they became very popular in more than 13 countries. In 2007, she decided to release her album and came up with Sona, under the banner of Sony records.
