Gaurav Bhatt is a singer, composer, and guitarist. Besides he is also a software engineer. He was born in Rajasthan. He is a well-known classical singer and loves singing ghazals. He shot to fame for a composition of ‘Rag-Mala’ and ‘Taal-Malas’ along with new generation music. For his knowledge of classical music, he has played guitars in recordings for number one music label company T.Series.  Because of his classical music training, Gaurav Bhatt has sung many ghazals that are not limited to Khayal, Thumri raga, tala and other classical and light classical genres.  Gaurav is an exceptional singer in classical music today.  The singer also has given his vocal for private albums and film music. He has performed in stages and entertained the music lovers for many years.  For Doordarshan telecast program such as ‘Geet Gata Hu Mai’, the singer had even played guitar with other musical gurus. Also, he also has sung evergreen songs such as ‘Geet Gata Hu Mai’ and ‘Ga Mere Sang Ga’ on the regional network of Doordarshan in Rajasthan.  He also has composed many songs for ETV Rajasthan program and was even associated with a TV program ’Geet Gata Chal’ on ETV regional networks.  Gaurav loves to lend his vocal for even devotional songs. Mukesh Chand Mathur (Mukesh) was a popular playback singer in Hindi cinema. He made a place for himself in his era along with Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey. He is also regarded as the ghost voice for Raj Kapoor. Being born on July 22, 1923, in Delhi, Mukesh is the son of Zorawar Chand Mathur and Chand Rani. The singer had no formal training in singing but was born with the ability to sing a song. The singer was noticed by his distant relative, Motilal (a legendary actor), while Mukesh was performing in a wedding ceremony. Motilal took Mukesh to Mumbai and offered him a role of actor-cum-singer in the film, ‘Nirdosh’ (1941). Later, Mukesh got a chance to sing for one of Motilal’s films, ‘Pehli Nazar’, in 1945. Mukesh’s first song was ‘Dil Jalta Hai To Jalne De’. After hearing this song, even singer-actor K.L.Saigal was struck with awe; Mukesh considered K.L. Saigal as his mentor and guru. However, it was Naushad who insisted Mukesh come out of Saigal’s way of singing and develop his own style. Naushad allowed Mukesh to sing for the film, ‘Andaz’. Earlier, it was Mukesh who was a ghost voice of Dilip Kumar, and Mohammed Rafi was considered the ultimate voice for Raj Kapoor. However later, when Dilip Kumar chose Rafi over Mukesh, it was Raj Kapoor who benefited the most in his career from the voice of Mukesh. Mukesh has also sung some melodious songs for Dilip Kumar such as ‘Ye Mera Diwanapan Hai’ (Yahudi), ‘Suhana Safar’, and ‘Dil Tadap Tadap Ke’ (Madhumati). Mukesh’s association with Raj Kapoor continued till ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’. In this movie, he had sung ‘Chanchal Sheetal’, which was the last song he recorded. The singer was the favourite singer of Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Yash Chopra and Basu Chatterjee. He had sung for all heroes such as Shammi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Sunil Dutt, and Manoj Kumar, among others. He fetched the National Film Award for the song "Kai Baar Yuhi Dekha Hai", from the film, ‘Rajnigandha’ (1973), which was directed by Basu Chatterjee. His song from Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s film, ‘Anand’, became extremely popular, and it was composed by Salil Choudhury. He has received the Filmfare Award, four times. Mukesh married Saral Trivedi, and the couple have five children. His son, Nitin Mukesh, was a singer in Hindi movies, and actor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, is his grandson. He passed away in Detroit, USA, while going there to perform for a musical concert. He was a proud son of Zorawar Chand Mathur and Chand Rani. His father was an engineer. He was the 6th child amongst the family of 10 children. Initially, Mukesh’s sister used to learn to sing by her teacher named Sundar Pyari, and Mukesh used to locate himself in the juxtapose room to listen to Sundar Pyari. He completed his secondary education and left the school to work for the branch of Public Works. His experimentation of recording various types of voices helped him develop his singing ability. Mukesh married the daughter of a Gujarati Brahmin millionaire, Saral Trivedi. However, the father of Saral was not ready to accept the marriage of his daughter with someone whose profession was so immoral. In that era, singing was considered a disparaging vocation. Hence, with no other way to be together, they absconded and got married in a temple located in Kandivali on 22 July, 1946. Everyone suspected the endurance of this rebel couple’s matrimony. They expected that they would get annulled in no time, but they stayed happily married for 30 years and celebrated. The couple had five children namely Rita, a singer, Nitin, Nalini, Mohnish and Namrata alias Amrita. Neil Nitin Mukesh is his grandson. Mukesh died on 27 August, 1976 of a heart attack in Michigan. He went to Detroit, Michigan to perform at a concert. In the morning of 27 August, 1976, he ascended from his bed and bathed. He came out of the shower feeling perturbed regarding his chest pains. He was swiftly taken to the hospital and was stated lifeless. His concert was taken over by another influential singer of that time called Lata Mangeshkar. Mukesh’s carcass was consigned to India. An ostentatious funeral was held to pay homage and encomium to the deceased. Another version The Man with the Golden Voice was the nickname given to the India’s famous singing legend Mukesh. His evergreen songs stand as the best example for his extraordinary voice. Mukesh discontinued his studies and worked for the Delhi Department of Public Works. Managing both his job and his love for music, he used to practice and experiment a lot with his voice and honed his singing skills through voice recordings. Mukesh was recognized during his performance in a marriage by then famous actor Motilal, and it was the turning point in his life. He was immediately taken to Bombay and given the training to improve his singing ability. In the movie Pehli Nazar released in 1945, he was given an opportunity to sing his first song. When in 1948, Aag movie starring Raj Kapoor released with Mukesh’s music track, it changed the benchmarks in Hindi music industry. Their beautiful combination continued till 1975, and each and every music track was a jewel. Epitome expressions of Raj Kapoor were brilliantly matched to the wonderful songs given by Mukesh and they were nowhere to be matched to any other admirable thing. Mukesh released so many classics and innumerable hits while working with Raj Kapoor. The ones that deserve a remembrance are Shri 420, Awaara, Parvarish, Anari, Mera Naam Joker, Sangam and Kabhi Kabhi. Though the girl’s parents weren’t supportive of their relation, they married against their will and had a strong marriage for 30 years with five children. In 1976, while he was at a concert with Lata Mangeshkar, in Detroit, USA he had a heart attack and died when he was at the age of 53. Saigal as his idol and used to imitate him in the initial years of singing. Mukesh has sung around 1300 songs in his singing career. He was the ghost voice of Dilip Kumar but later became the ghost voice of Raj Kapoor. He co-produced as well as composed the music for Anurag. He received National Film Award in the category of Best Male Playback Singer for his songin the movie Rajnigandha called Kai Baar Yuhi Dekha Hai. He received four Filmfare awards for his songs Sab Kuch Seekha Humne, Jai Bolo Beimaan Ki, Sabse Bada Naadan, and Kabhi Kabhie Mere Dil Mein. He has also received four other nominations at Filmfare Awards and three wins at the Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards. Mukesh died of heart attack in Detroit, Michigan, the USA on 27 August 1976. He was there for a concert with Lata Mangeshkar. The concert was completed by his son Nitin Mukesh along with Lata Mangeshkar. He is lived by his sons and daughters and his evergreen songs
