Deepak Thakur is an Indian playback singer, also known by his nickname ‘Kanhaiya.’ He was born on 3rd July 1994 in the small village of Athar in Buxar district of Bihar to a homemaker mother and a farmer father, Pankaj Thakur.
He had been passionate about singing from a young age, seeing which his parents moved to the nearby city of Muzaffarpur to provide him with more exposure than that his rural home had to offer. In Muzaffarpur, he attended the Oxford Public School followed by the Pristine Children’s High School before enrolling in the Lalit Narayan Mishra College of Business Administration.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and was pursuing his masters in the same but dropped out of college to chase a career in singing.
