He was born on 2nd June in Nagpur and his family lives in the Pratap Nagar.

His family shifted to Chhattisgarh, and they lived there for six years. He was fond of singing from the age of 3 years and at the age of 5 years he gave his first stage performance. He completed his graduation in Bachelors of Commerce from the Mithibai College, Mumbai. It was then, when he started composing and became a composer unknowingly. Sanjay loved his work and immediately signed him as an assistant for the blockbuster movie ‘Bajirao Mastani.’ It was indeed a huge platform to get started with his career.
