The former Miss World, Yukta Mookhey is an Indian actress and a model, born on 7th October 1977. She was crowned Miss Universe in London in the year 1999. Mookhey was born in Bangalore and raised in Dubai. Mookhey’s father was a director in a clothing company and is now a Real Estate Agent and her mother, Mrs. Aruna runs a grooming consulting firm. After completing her high school studies, Mookhey completed Zoology from V.G Vaze College. Mookhey also holds a diploma in computer science. She also studied Classical music for three years. Yukta Mookhey’s career went sky high when she was crowned Miss World in the year 1999. She defeated 93 delegates from around the world. After that, she didn’t look back. Later, she entered the Indian film Industry. She first appeared in an Item number in a Tamil movie in the year 2001. She made her debut in Bollywood with the movie Pyasa in the year 2002. The film was a huge disappointment at the box office.

She appeared in two movies in the year 2005, namely Memsahab and Love in Japan. She also did a music video in the following year. Not just Tamil and Hindi movies, Mookhey also did some Bhojpuri and Assamese movies. Yukta Mookhey engages herself in charitable and social causes and is also an active member of the Bharatiya Janta Party. Mookhey got engaged to a New York-based Businessman, Prince Tuli on September 7, 2008. She married Tuli on 2nd November 2008. However, in 2013, Mookhey filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband, and the couple got divorced in the year 2014, They have a son together. Yukta Mookhey also appeared in some Bhojpuri movies and Tamil movies. Though she didn’t receive any success in the Hindi film Industry but, she did receive some appreciation in the Bhojpuri movie world.
