Yogeeta Bali

Yogeeta Bali is an actor and a producer. She stepped on earth on 29th December 1952. She is the daughter of actor Jaswant &producer Haridarshan Kaur. Actor Aditya Roy Kapoor is her cousin & she is the Niece of director Abrar Alvi. She is also the Niece of Queen of Black & White Indian cinema, Geeta Bali, who is also Shammi Kapoor’s first wife. She started her acting career from the year 1971 with movie Parwana and continued to contribute the industry till the year 1989 with the last movie as an actress Aakhri Badla. Now she is back into industry as a producer. Her recently produced movies are Lucky Man & Enemy. When she entered the industry, there were many other major stars like Rekha, Jaya Bachchan, Hema Malini, Reema Roy, etc. She then got married to Kishore Kumar & he directed her & acted with her in a movie “Shabash Daddy” in 1979.

But in 1980 while shooting for Khwab beside Mithun producer Shakti Samanta felt that Yogita had fallen in love with Mithun. Soon Yogita got divorced from Kishore Kumar & got married to Mithun Chakraborty. After this Bappi Lahiri’s career started as Kishore Kumar didn’t agree to sing for Mithun for his movies. So Bappi Lahri produced many songs for his Mithun’s initial movies. She stopped working in films as soon as she got married to Mithun to start a family. There were four children of Mithun & Yogeeta, three sons & one daughter Mahaakshay Chakraborty, Dishani Chakraborty, Ushmey Chakraborty, Namashi Chakraborty. Her some of the contributed movies are Biwi-o-Biwi, which was a fun movie and a great hit, Nagin, Janni Dushman, Ajnabee, Chacha Bhatija, and more50+ movies. Her contribution in movies have made her evergreen in our hearts & her movies as well as songs will always make us remember about her.
