Priyanka Raina was born on 20 March 1982. She is a director who directs short films, and has directed five short films till date. She is also a film critic and has assisted and acted in movies. She is a daughter of ex-defence officer, Trilok Chand Raina, who has traveled the world, finally settling in Mumbai, India.

In 2006, after completing her Software Engineering from SIES College, she joined the theater with the Ekjute group and has done numerous plays with them. Priyanka started her acting career with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, where she did a cameo.

Also, she has acted in a Bhojpuri film called “Raghuveera” (2008). She made her first short film, Azaad Bharat, in 2010. The movie was a tribute to her dad, and it got released on his birthday. Also, it was honored as the best-making film at the Nashik Film Festival, 2014. Amidst directing short films, she assisted in the feature films, Black Currency and Aanand Balraj in Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai (2012), and also acted in ad films like Apna Bazaar, and Mahindra Tractor. Priyanka is also a film critic and reviews films for Filmy Town, Bharath Cine TV Writers and Omniscient Entertainment. Apart from working, Priyanka loves cycling- she cycled in Cyclothon (2010) in BKC for 12 km, Being Human Camp.

Priyanka Raina has contributed greatly towards the Indian cinema by directing some sensational and out of the box films and she has a long list of awards to testify to it. She won the award for Best Short Film Maker at KAF Awards in 2013 for Clean and Green India.

In 2014, her short film, ‘Zindagi’, was awarded the title of Best Making Film at the Nashik Film Festival. Apart from actively directing films, she also assisted in movies like Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai, and Black Currency. She also has to her credit ad films like Nakshatra and others.
