Bipasha Basu, born in January 7,1979 in Delhi, is a Bengali beauty. Bipasha started her career as a successful fashion model. In 1996, Bipasha won a Godrej Cinthol Supermodel contest followed by the Ford Models Supermodel of the World contest. In 2001,she made her debut in Bollywood by starring in a supporting role in the movie Ajnabee alongside Akshay Kumar. She won the Filmfare award for Best Female Debut in 2001. Bipasha’s first leading role was in the movie Raaz opposite Dino Morea. She was nominated for the Filmfare Best Actress award for her role in Raaz. Bipasha is a successful actress having starred in top-grossing films like – No Entry, Phir Hera Pheri, Jism, Dhoom 2 and Race.

Her role in Corporate and Apaharan got her critical acclaim. Bipasha has appeared on over 40 magazine covers. Bipasha has also worked in telugu, Bengali and Tamil films. Bipasha was nominated for the Filmfare Best Villain Award for her movie Jism. Bipasha has worked with the top actors of Bollywood like – Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan amongst many others. In 2011, Bipasha ranked 8 in the Times of India’s 50 most desirable women and ranked 7 in 2013. She was also named “The sexiest woman in Asia” in 2005 and 2007 by a UK magazine. Bipasha is a big fitness freak and released her fitness DVD, Love Yourself, in 2010. Bipasha is the brand ambassador of Sugar Free.

Bhumi Pednekar

Bhumi Pednekar is Maharashtrian unconventional actress. Bhumi was initially an assistant to the casting director of Yash Raj Films; and recently made her debut under the Yash Raj Films banner by starring in Dum Laga Ke Haisha starring Ayushmann Khurrana. She holds that it was like a “Cinderella moment” for her when she was asked to play the role of the leading actor in the movie. Bhumi plays the role of Sandhya an over-weight girl in her debut movie. She had to gain about 15 kilograms for her role in the movie but has now lost a lot of weight and is back at being fit.Bhumi Pednekar might not be a well-known name in the Bollywood industry just yet but given her performance in her first movie that released in February 2015, the days are not far. Bhumi dreams of romancing with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan on screen. Her favorite actress is Karisma Kapoor and mentioned that she was obsessed with her role in Raja Hindustani when she was 12 years old. She is being called an unconventional Bollywood actress due to her weight issues. Bhumi always had weight issues which make her different from the other stick-thin actresses of Bollywood; and the part where she loves herself and her body despite being a little over-weight is what makes her command respect.

Although there have been films in which transsexual or transgender characters have been portrayed by normal actors, the instances of actual transsexual persons acting in films are rare, even globally. From that point of view perhaps Bobby Darling as he likes to call himself and use as this as his screen name, is in many ways unique. A person with such a background would obviously have many interesting facets not only associated with his career but even in his personal life. He has mostly been portrayed in films as a female character, or at best as girlish boy. However, there seems to be no ambiguity about his actually being a male, although he had attempted to undergo a sex change operation in between to bring parity between his inner nature and external self. However, what is still having some amount of ambiguity is about his actual name. While some sources allude to him as Ritwik Pareek at the time of his birth, some others give him an original name of Ballabh Kothari. However, most of the bios about him identify his original name as Pankaj Sharma, which also seems credible based on other accounts. His actual life seems to be as interesting as any of the movies in which he has acted so far, and by now has acted in a good number of Hindi films, which include some well known names like Subhash Ghai’s “Taal”; the Ritwik, Saif Ali starrer “Na Tum Jaano Na Hum”; and the Sharukh Rani Mukherjee starrer “Chalte Chalte”. The list also includes light comedies like “Kyaa Kool Hai Hum” and “Apna Sapna Money Money” followed by “Hasee to Phasee”. In addition, he has made TV appearances in popular serials like Sony TV’s “Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin”; Star Plus’s family soap “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and the same channel’s supernatural themed “Kahi Kissi Roz”. Other serials included Zee TV’s popular “Hum Paanch”, the comic “Professor Pyarelal”, also of Zee. Talking of TV appearances, his participation in the 2006 TV reality show “Big Brother” triggered off a lot of discussion in general about the participation of someone of his sexual orientation in a reality show, as well generated interest about Bobby in general. This appearance perhaps paved the way for her subsequent appearance in the TV reality show “Sach Ka Saamna”, which incidentally also gave him the chance to get re-united with his estranged father. Earlier in 2005, her acting talents too received recognition when she bagged the Best Supporting Actor/Actress award during the Monaco International Film Festival, for the film “Navarasa”.
