Vijay Krishna Acharya is also known as Victor Acharya in the Indian film industry. He is a well-known director, playwright and lyricist of the Indian cinema. He has his fame in TV serials also. Vijay attended Seth Anandaram Jaipuria School in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He obtained his graduation from Kirori Mal College in English literature. He says about himself, “Seems like this English literature graduate from Kanpur has actually put to use all the techniques of comedy he learned as a college student”.

In the year 1992, when he was only 22, Vijay shifted to Mumbai in search for a career. He set his foot in the industry by assisting Kundan Shah in his movie ‘ Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’. His first independent work was called ‘Channel Mast’ for VI TV, by Sudhanshu Mishra. His famous comedy serials include Ramkhilavan CM and Family, Public Hai Sab Janti Hai, Krishna Sharma CA which later gave rise to the super hit ‘ Krishna Arjun’.

He is also the scriptwriter and director to hit shows like ‘ Just Mohabbat’, ‘Life Nahi Hai Laddoo’, ‘ Son Pari’, ‘Shaka Laka Boom Boom’ and ‘ Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin’. He is also director of the movies like ‘Tashaan’ and ‘Dhoom-3’. A man with a vision Vijay Krishna Says, “My aim while writing comedy, is to strike a balance between serious and comic elements without sounding preachy”. He is inspired by the works of Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino, and Patrice Leconte. At present, he works for Bollywood’s big production house Yash Raj Films.
