Piyush Mishra is an Indian film actor, singer, composer, lyricist, theatre director. His versatility in acting has proved him as one of the promising actors in Bollywood Cinema today he has. He was also considered to play the role of Prem in the superhit movie “Maine Pyaar kia” which put Salman khan in the hearts of his fans. He has acted in 25 Films, written dialogues in more than 5 films, and given lyrics for more than 10 films and this is just the beginning for him. This versatile actor was born in Gwalior on Jan 13, 1986. He grew up in Gwalior but his love for movie brought him to Delhi and he graduated from prestigious institute national school of drama, Delhi in 1986. Thereafter he established himself as Theatre artist and director in Delhi and made his debut as a film actor with Mani Ratnam's in 1998, he portrayed as C.B.I Investigation Officer after almost a decade. Later in the year 2002 he moved to Mumbai.
He won the Zee cine awards for writing the dialogues of 2001 movie “The legend of Bhagat Singh”. In year 2003, he was critically acclaimed for his acting in the movie “mambos”, where he played the role of Kaka, the right hand of underworld Don “Jahangir”. Mishra again appeared as a critic in favourite Anurag Kashyaps movie “
Gulaal
”, where he played Prithvi Bana, psychic brother of the villain. Mishra was nominated for zee cine awards for the “best actor in supporting role” in the year 2012 for the movie “Gangs of Wasseypur”, and his recent movie was “
The Shaukeens
” where he played one of the lead.
He met his wife Priya Narayanan in 1992 when he was directing a play and married her in 1995. He lives in Mumbai with his wife and two sons Josh and Jai.
