Pitobash Tripathy is an Indian film actor, best known for his role ‘Mandook’ in the movie ‘Shor in the City’. He hails from the Indian state of Odisha to an Oriya Brahmin family. His father worked for the agricultural department and mother is a retired school teacher. He has 3 brothers and 2 sisters and he is the youngest among them.
He did his schooling in ‘Bhubaneswar Government High School’, Unit 1. Then he joined ‘Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar College’. He completed his ‘B.Tech’ in 2005 from ‘Government college of Engineering & Leather Technology’ from ‘Kolkata’ in 2007. He even has a diploma in acting from the ‘Film and Television Institute of India’. He also received the ‘National Bal Shree Honor’ in 1996 from the President of India at the age of 12.
He started his Bollywood career in the year 2009, but mostly in side roles and supporting roles but his life changing role came in the form of ‘Laptan’ in ‘I am kalam’(2010) and in ‘Shor in the City’(2011). His role in ‘Shor in the City’ won him many awards like, ‘Screen- Best Actor in a Comic Role Award’ for Shor in the City. His most recent movie was “Million dollar Arm”. He also won the ‘Odisha Youth Inspiration award’ in 2012. He also won the best supporting actor role 2012 for “Shor in the City”.
