Surya Bhanu Gupta

Surya Bhanu Gupta is a Hindi lyricist. He was born on 22nd September 1940. His birthplace was Nathukheda (Bindhki) in the Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, India. He has penned over 600 compositions in the poetry genre. He has also published more than 200 children’s poems. His lyrics were a part of many plays and more than twelve Doordarshan serials. He did various freelancing work and other jobs from 1991 to 1993. His first poetry collection was published by Vani Prakashan, New Delhi in the year 1997. It was titled Ek Hath Ki Taali. Gupta was awarded by the Indian Institute of Child Welfare, Kanpur. He is also a recipient of the 1995 Parivar Awards. 

Gupta has written many Ghazals, some of which include Dil Lagane Ki Bhul The Pahle, Har Lamha Zindagi Ke Pasine Se Tang Hun and Jin Je Andar Charagh Jalte Hain. His Hindi Ghazals are titled Aansuon Mein Bhiga Hai Har Libas Naslon Ka and Apne Ghar Mein Hi Ajnabi Ki Tarah. His representative works include Har Lamha Zindagi Ki Paseene Se Thang Hoon, Shyam Ke Wakt Kahi Ghar Mein Akele Na Raho and Kisko Man Ke Ghaav Dikhaaye Haal Sunaaye Jee Ke. His poems for children include Hippi Jaise Badal Aaye, Bade Niraale Chnadu Maama and Photographer.
