Kedar Shinde

Kedar Shinde is an actor, director, producer and screen writer of Marathi films. He was born on January 16, 1973 (age 43). He completed his education from R. M. Bhatt High School and Maharshi Dyanand College. Shahir Sable, a famous Marathi folk singer, is Shinde’s maternal grandfather. Devdatta Sable, famous Marathi music composer, is Shinde’s maternal uncle.

“Hi Chaal Turu Turu” and “Manaachyaa Dhundil” are some songs that Devdatta Sable has composed. Charusheela Sable, a well-known Marathi actor of repute, is his maternal aunt. Kedar Shinde is married to Bela Shinde, a Marathi playback singer. Kedar and Bela have a daughter named Sana Kedar Shinde, who is now an actress, working in Marathi movies.

Shinde was only 13 when he was on his way to join the military school in Nasik but since they were short of actors, his aunt Charusheela Sable made him join his grandfather’s show. Some of Kedar Shinde’s movies as a director are, Aga Bai Arechyaa , Jatra Hyalagaad Re Tyalagaad, Yanda Kartavya Aahe, Majha Navra Tujhi Bayko which were released in the year 2006. Mukkam Post London which was released in 2007. Yancha Kahi Nem Nahi, Galgale Nighal, Bakula Namda Ghotale which were released in the year 2008. Irada Pakka, On Duty 24 Taas which were released in the year 2010. Kho Kho, Shrimant Damodar Pant which released in the year 2013. And, Aga Bai Arechyaa 2 which was released in 2016.

As a director, Shinde has done a Hindi movie named Toh Baat Pakki which released in the year 2010. He has also directed Marathi television serials like, Sahib Bibi Ani Mi, Hasa Chakat Fu, Ghadalay Bighadalay, Shreegut Gangadhar Tipate, Madhu Ithe Aani Chandra Tithe. As a writer, Shinde has written movies like, ‘Aga Bai Arechyaa 2’ whose releasing year was 2016, the screenplay of Yanda Kartavya Aahe which released in the year 2006.

In 2007, the story and screenplay of Bakula Namdev Ghotale was written by Shinde. He was the story writer of Majha Navra Tujhi Bayko which released in 2006. Shinde has also directed and written some of the Marathi dramas like, Manomani, Sahi Re Sahi which opened in the year 2015, Lochya Jhala Re whose opening year was 2008, Shreemant Damodar Pant whose opening year was 2015, Punha Sahi Re Sahi, Gela Udat opened in the year 2016, Dhyan Ta Dhyan, Tu Tu Mi Mi whose opening year was 2015, Gopala Re Gopala, and Amachya Sarakhe Amhich.

Shinde is an admirer of Steven Spielberg’s creative imagination. He also admires Raj Kumar Hirani for his hattrick hits. And, of course his biggest inspiration is his grandfather, Shahib Sable. Apart from doing movies, Shinde always aspired to be a pilot as he loved flying.
