Ramesh Sippy is an eminent film director and he is widely acclaimed for his classic Sholay, who was born in the year 1947. He is the son of yesteryear producer G P Sippy. Ramesh Sippy is wedded to Kiran Juneja, who is an Indian actress. At the age of 9, Sippy acted in the film Shahenshah. For around 7 years he took up the role of assistant director. During this time he took lot of effort to know about the nuances of film industry. Later, during 1971 he directed the film Andaz, which didn’t do well. But luck favored him in his next venture Seeta Aur Geeta which was very successful.

The year 1975 saw one of the best films of Indian history, Sholay, which was directed by Sippy. This film was widely appreciated and Hindi movie buffs fervently loved the film. Amjad Khan played the negative role of Gabbar Singh in the film and it is one of his unforgettable performances. Legendary actor Dileep Kumar and Big B Amitabh Bachchan shared screen space in Shakti, which was also directed by Sippy. Though this film was not highly successful, it gained recognition in Filmfare awards. Sippy’s film Saagar was appreciated and Kamal Haasan’s performance was widely acclaimed. This was also the film in which, Dimple Kapadia made a comeback.

Sippy entered the television field during the year 1987; he directed the serial Buniyaad which was successful. This serial dealt with the partition of India. Sippy’s last ventures as a director were Zamaana Deewana, Brashtachar and Akayla. All these films bombed at the box office and Sippy never took up direction since then. 

The greatest appreciation that Sippy received was from Filmfare Jury is “Filmfare Best Film of Fifty Years”, for the film Sholay. Some of the films that Sippy produced are Chandini Chowk to China, Nautanki Saala, Kuch Na Kaho, Fear, Dum Maaro Dum, Bluffmaster etc.,

Divyansh disclosed that this debutant movie of him had been filmed with advanced shooting techniques which will make it receive good appreciation from the audience. The project is done by a team of film students. The first look was opened up by great Bollywood personalities which include Vikram Bhatt, Vashu Bhagnani, and Rajkumar Santoshi. The film features the grandson of legendary lyricist Dr. Hasrat Jaipuri, Aadil Hussain Jaipuri and amongst others Aditya Siddhu, Arif Mukhtar, Ashmita Jaggi, Priyanka Agarwal. This movie features the life of a friends group that includes Nakul, Rajjo, Shekhar, Archana, Ismail and Kush. The plot of the film is that these friends go on an adventure trip to explore three haunted places in Maharashtra. Kush is a filmmaker and captures the moments of their journey, but the record got seemed to be disturbed by some supernatural activities that they discovered at these places. Ultimately, these all friends get caught up themselves in the fist of these uncertain supernatural activities. The film crew got appreciation from Rajkumar Santoshi for all the hard work that they put into it to make it a great success. Vikram Bhatt, who is also a director, applauded the movie and expressed his satisfaction on its genre and the amazing trailer. Vashu Bhagnani praised the budget control of the film as he said that this amount is usually spent on organizing press conferences and meetings.

He had also taken upon himself to act like a villain in the same film when the actor backed out at the last moment. His message for the youth of India is never to give up in any situation, however, bad they may look in the beginning because at the end of the day, everything falls into place.
