Ratnesh Mani

Ratnesh Mani is an Indian actor and casting director at Emmay Entertainment & Motion Pictures. Born in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, his career kindled with the supporting role of Inspector Vijay Chauhan in Shaad Ali’s “Kill Dil” (2014). Despite its star studded cast, the movie failed to create ripples at the box office. Ratnesh switched his field of expertise and tried his hand at casting with his first job as an assistant to casting directors, Amit Kumar and Vicky Sidana, in Nishikant Kamat’s super hit suspense “Drishyam” (2015).He also played the side role of Kavinde from cyber cell in the movie. After the success of Drishyam, he delved more into the work of recruiting celebrities in movies and assisted the casting directors of blockbusters like “Airlift” (2016) and “Dishoom” (2016). He was hired by the Colosceum Media Productions where he had his break as a casting director when Nikhil Advani presented him with the opportunity to bring in the cast for his thriller drama TV series “P.O.W. – Bandhi Yudh Ke” in 2016. The show was highly acclaimed and paved the way for Mani towards a starlit career. He next worked with director, Milap Zaveri, in his action movie “Satyameva Jayate” (2018). Milap gave Ratnesh the full liberty to pick out the cast for the film while he focused solely on direction. It helped Ratnesh increase his experience manifold, a chance which he is grateful for to this day. He also portrayed the character of DCP Rane in the film. His most recent project as a casting director was Gaurav K. Chawla’s “Bazaar,” starring Saif Ali Khan. As an actor, Mani has mostly appeared in supporting roles, including those for “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2” (2015), “Ki & Ka” (2016), “Dosti Ke Side Effects” (2019) and “Junglee” (2019). Besides movies and television shows, Mani has also helped directors in casting for TV commercials such as those of Parle and Renault.
