Plot
The movie centers on Aaryan Agnihotri, a robotics engineer and coder who is not able to find a capable life partner. His aunt calls him to US to test her new robotic miracle and his life turns around. There he meets Sifra (Super Intelligent Female Robot Automation), a humanoid robot and eventually falls for her while considering her as a human. Later her aunt reveals that she is a robot and Aaryan was a tool to test her. Disappointed by the truth, Aaryan returns Mumbai but he is unable to forget about Sifra. Is this a love story? Will he be able to forget her and move on? The story of the film answers these questions.
Star Performances
Shahid Kapoor plays Aayan Agnihotri effortlessly. His performance enhanced the believability of the story. Watching Kriti Sanon playing Sifra is a pure bliss. She looks completely gorgeous and her performance outshines others. Her expressions and dialogue delivery were so on point that made the audience believe the fact of her being a robot. Moreover, their on-screen chemistry makes the film much more enjoyable. The rest of the cast hooked viewers to the film’s story with their portrayals. There are hardly any weak links in the film when it comes to acting performances. Also Dharmendra sir deserves a special mention for his extraordinary on-screen presence.
Analysis
‘Teri Batoon Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ is an attempt to showcase the probable future based on AI and robots while exploring the possibility of a love story between a human and a robot. The concept is very much similar to the 2011 released film, ’Robot’ starring Rajnikanth sir and Aishwariya except for the fact that this movie only explore the relationship that a robot can form with humans. The movie presents the same concept with a different storyline which feels fresh and unique. The story is about a man falling for a humanoid robot and wishes to get married to her. The unconventional love story is a roller coaster ride with explores different human emotions in a comic way. However, the comedy of the film felt outdated and wasn’t satisfactory. Also, the movie is filled with great actors, but it fails to justify their roles in the movie. They feel like a wasted opportunity. The beginning of the film feels low but eventually it starts picking up when it explores Aaryan’s struggles to hide the fact of Sifra being a robot from his family. The situational comedy is the highlight of the film though most of the jokes fail to land. The film feels a bit superficial as it hardly shows any advanced technology except for the robots to make it believable for the audience that the film is set in 2050s. Moreover, the use of VFX isn’t appreciable. The songs of the film are amazing. They get stuck in the viewers’ mind. The cinematography is decent, but the editing of the film feels dragged down and stretched. Also some of the plots in the film felt unnecessary. The climax of the film could have been better. Overall, it’s a entertaining film with certain falters.

‘Teri Batoon Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ is a sci-fi, romance-comedy film that explores the relationship between humans and a robot. The love story between Aaryan and Sifra is the main focus of the film. The comedy banters and emotional quotient of the film sometimes work and sometimes don’t. Overall, It is a great entertainer for the people who wants to watch a film just for fun with family and friends.
