Preeti Singh

Preeti Singh born on 26th of October in the year 1971 is an author from India based at Chandigarh. She was born in Ambala which is a city in the Indian state of Haryana.

She is currently 45 years of age. She also has a daughter named “Harsheen Kaur.” From last 15 years, she has been working as a professional writer. She has been well-known for her novels like Flirting with Fate which was her debut novel and was published by Mahaveer Publishers, India in the year 2012, Crossroads, which was released in the year 2014, and was published by Authors Press. Her second book has marked its place in the Indian Book of Records as it was the First Indian Fiction which has characters as that of real life. She has completed her schooling from “La Martinere” which is a girls school situated in Lucknow which is a city in Uttar Pradesh also known as U.P. Then, she went to Punjab University situated in Chandigarh. There she completed the degree of graduation from MCM DAV College for Girls affiliated to Punjab University. Later on, she has completed the degree of Masters in English from IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) established under the Act of Parliament in the year 1985. She has also done post-graduation diploma from IGNOU in Journalism and Mass Communications.

On 17th of December in the year 2015, she was awarded “ Swayamsiddha Story soon >> Read More... ” Award by Anupama Foundation, Lucknow for the self-made women who have achieved a lot in their life. In the month of October in the year 2016, her third novel named “Watched” was released which was in the genre of a crime thriller. It was published by Omji Publishing House. Her father’s name is “Major Kulwant Singh” who has served the Indian Army as Major General. Her mother’s name was “Sonya Kulwant Singh” who died of lung cancer. Preeti was having a nerve cell disorder problem named “epilepsy.” She was a handicap and was having an urge to overcome her problem which she finally did with the start of her first novel. Preeti Singh started her career in Amity University, Noida as an Editor. She has done Bachelors in Education (B. Ed) from Annamalai University. After that, she started teaching in Army Schools situated in India.

Then, she joined SEO Company at the post of Creative Content Writer. She now lives with her family in Chandigarh. She is now working as a freelancer editor around the globe. She is also a member of an NGO named “Helping Souls” based in Panchkula which aims at improving the living of slum children and women, and also making shelters for animals.

She has also won many Awards, and also nominated for Commonwealth Booker’s Prize in the year 2012. In the same year, she has also achieved the Award of Best Debut Crime Fiction Novel. In the year 2016, she was given Best Author Award for her novel named “Crossroads,” and much more.
