Anna Konkle

Anna Konkle is an actress of American origin. She was born in Randolph, Vermont on April 7 in 1987. She is also a director and screenplay writer. She spent the majority of her childhood in Scituate, Massachusetts, where she attended public schools. Her parents' divorce during her teenage years had a profound effect on her life, which later served as inspiration for her work. Anna Konkle completed her education at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she initially pursued musical theater but shifted to the Experimental Theater Wing due to vocal nodules. During her junior year, she met Maya Erskine, who became her closest friend and co-creator of PEN15, while attending an international experimental theater program in Amsterdam.

In the beginning, Anna Konkle worked on student films and experimental theater during her time at NYU. She had minor roles in television shows such as Shameless, New Girl New Girl was an American English television series >> Read More... , and Ramy. From 2015 to 2017, she portrayed Tara TMI Milly Izikoff as a main cast member in Rosewood. In collaboration with Erskine and Sam Zvibleman, Anna co-created the Hulu original TV comedy series PEN15 in 2019. Konkle and Erskine played semi-fictionalized versions of themselves as 13-year-old middle school students. The series was critically acclaimed, and Konkle received two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series in 2019 and Outstanding Comedy Series in 2021.
