She has two siblings , an elder brother and a younger sister. She gained her school education and graduation degree from Kolkata. Her mother tongue is Bengali. She is also known by her nickname 'Aish'. In 2010, the actress was approached to participate in a beauty hunt contest.She was encouraged by her grandmother to participate in the competition. The contest boosted her confidence and the actress was spotted by the serial makers.

Currently, she is portraying the main lead character of 'Drishti' on Bangla Popular TV soap 'Subho Drishti' opposite Gaurab Roy Chaudhary.
