Joy Bhattacharya is a famous Bengali actor. Throughout his journey as an actor, he has played various characters and every time excelled every time. One of the most famous Bengali serial, CID Kolkata Bureau which aired on Song Aath from 21th December 2012 to 12th July 2014, was a Bengali crime detective TV series. He played the role of Senior Inspector Ronojoy in this series. Joyee is a Bengali serial aired on Zee Bangla from 9th October 2017 to 1st September 2019. He played the character of Sagar Dutta, a football coach.

The story is about a fun-loving and innocent orphan girl who is a die-heart football lover. She lives with her maternal uncle and aunt. She dreams to become a football player. To break the barriers of social taboos, she often disguises herself as a boy to get to play. She succumbs to her family's demands and gets married. The Indian Bengali romantic comedy TV series called Gangaram, which aired on Star Jalsha from 28th December 2020 to 15th July 2022, featured his voice. The story revolves around Gangaram, a simple man who loves to sing and listen to Bengali folk songs.

Circumstances make him cross paths with a rich and self-centered woman. In 2020, he provided voiceover for the television series Khelaghor, which was broadcast on Star Jalsha. His presence was also seen in the MTV Stunt Mania Season 3 and season 4. He was also in the Bengali serial section 302, in which the host sheds light on some of the most heinous crimes committed in the country by presenting a re-enactment of the crime. He played the character of Badol in 2020 movie called Bidrohini and in 2022; he portrayed the character Subhankar in the film Erao Shotru. He also worked in the 2022 Assamese movie called Soi Gaaor Chompa and appeared in many more films and serials, including Agnishikha.
