Akash Chatterjee is an Indian actor, director and producer who predominantly works in the Bengali film industry. He was born on 9 June 1989 in the capital city of Kolkata in West Bengal. Akash Chatterjee’s father is a well established director and cinematographer in the Bengali film industry. His mother’s name is Sudipa Mukhopadhyay and she is a famous screenwriter for many Bengali movies. Akash Chatterjee completed his schooling at Good Shepherd International School. After that, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (S.B.M.J.C.) Center for Management Studies.

The most difficult and ambitious project Akash Chatterjee took on was ‘Good Morning, Sunshine, which came out in 2023. The film is directed by Sanjoy Nag and is based on the real life events of a woman who left her in-laws house because they didn't have a toilet and did not return until her father-in-law built one. Akash Chatterjee made his debut as a creative director in 2021 with the film ‘Babloo Bachelor.’ His father was the main director of the film which featured a talented cast including Aakkash Dabhade, Govardhan Asrani, and Manoj Balaji.

Apart from the film industry, Akash Chatterjee is an entrepreneur and has started many successful businesses including online stores like AARK Shield, BOT Solutions, and Bhej - Kuch Bhi Bhej which is a fashion and accessory store he started in 2022. He has also started two restaurants. The first restaurant which he opened was Kimchi in 2021. Because of its success, he was able to open a second restaurant known as a Junk From Mars in the following year.
