Soumyashree Ghosh is a director and writer. She has also directed videos for corporate and commercial purposes. Moreover, Soumyashree has also directed many short films, and her short film Janus was the one that led to her rise in popularity and also won her awards in the writing category. This led to her writing The Pursuant which also got her awards. Currently, she is known to be writing for web series and featured movies. Her first movie was Janus which was released in the year 2017.
She then wrote The Pursuant, Bhalobasar Shohor – Arshinagar, Damayanti, and Nako Heere which were released in the year 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 respectively. Currently, her drama Ghare Pherar Gaan is being filmed. Furthermore, Soumyashree has also directed Diner Seshe and Paribartan, released in 2019 and 2020. She also acted in the short movie Jump Scare which hit the theatres in the year 2020.
